Progress at the Park Board: New Leadership, New Directions

We have important news to share regarding our community parks. Following the recent Park Board meeting, it is clear that while we are making progress, there is still significant work to be done.

Recent Meeting Highlights

At the recent meeting, we saw some important shifts in leadership:

  • The Board elected Keith Nisenson as Board President and Mike Jacobson as Vice President.

  • In a 4-3 vote, the Board decided to grant attorney Eric Anderson only a 3-month contract, while the Board initiates a review process of the Board's attorney.

  • This action followed an unsuccessful attempt by Commissioners Heisler, Nisenson, and Tiesenga to appoint him for another full year.

We’re Just Getting Started

We succeeded in securing new leadership but let’s not stop there! We still need a new attorney and to take back the majority. Let’s continue to fight to protect our wonderful parks and programs!
