Parks for the People is a group of people who care deeply about the Crystal Lake Park District. Our mission is to protect and preserve the integrity, accessibility, and public stewardship of the Crystal Lake Park District and its natural resources by advocating for transparency, accountability, and the public interest in all board decisions.
OUR 2027 GOALS:
Parks for the People is committed to supporting strong leadership for our parks. The Parks for the People Political Action Committee (PAC) will endorse candidates for the Crystal Lake Park District Board of Commissioners for the upcoming 2027 elections.
Why Seek a P4P Endorsement and How to Apply
If you are chosen for a P4P endorsement, our organization is dedicated to supporting your success. Endorsed candidates will:

Receive campaign support: Assistance through in-kind or direct contributions

Gain visibility: Publication of your campaign information on our Facebook group and other communication platforms

Mobilize support: Access to our dedicated network of volunteers

Receive guidance: Mentorship and support from past Park Board members
To be eligible for a P4P endorsement, potential candidates must complete and submit the Candidate Questionnaire by Monday, June 15, 2026. Once your questionnaire is received, selected candidates will be contacted to begin the interview process.
